Pietje Puk

Pietje Puk Daycare is a small-scale childcare centre set in a rural location in Haarzuilens. We welcome up to 29 children, divided into a baby group (0-2 years) and a toddler group (2-4 years). Our homelike building sits on the edge of the village, surrounded by peace and space so that children can grow up in complete freedom. We work with two clearly defined age groups. The baby group is designed for the very youngest: safe bedrooms with cots, changing areas and a separate play/crawling space. The toddler group enjoys a large garden with natural play equipment, a sandpit and plenty of room to run, cycle and explore. Indoors there is an open living area with corners for building, crafts, reading and role play. Our team consists of permanent, experienced pedagogical staff who have been with us for many years. Alma Hensen has been the owner and pedagogical coach since 1998. Kirsten, Nathalie, Esmiranda, Marina, Collinda, Wendy, Claudia, Ester and Anouschka form a close-knit team that follows continuous training and works according to our own pedagogical policy. Each child is assigned a fixed carer who closely follows development and communicates with parents via our parent app. We are open all year round on weekdays from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm, excluding Sundays and public holidays. We value parental involvement: there is an active parent committee that meets four times a year and helps shape policy, activities and fees.
