Freekids Pieter Post

Welcome to daycare center Pieter Post in Assendelft! We are a small-scale daycare with a village character where children aged 0 to 4 feel safe and at home. Our homely building on Dorpsstraat offers a warm environment where personal attention and development are central. We follow Freekids' pedagogical policy, using insights from Emmi Pikler. This means we offer children peace, space and confidence to develop at their own pace. We work with horizontal groups where children come together in age groups, creating a safe and recognizable environment. Our pedagogical staff are familiar faces who know each child well and closely monitor their development. For the little ones we provide everything needed: diapers, wipes, formula and care products are included. Warm meals, fruit and snacks are also provided according to our Healthy Childcare policy. For children with allergies or special dietary needs, we ask parents to bring their own food. Our spacious garden invites outdoor play and discovery. We offer outdoor sleeping, where toddlers can rest in the fresh air. Inside we have separate bedrooms where children can sleep in peace. Through reading moments with Boekstart we stimulate language development and love for books. Parents stay informed through our Kindplanner app, where we daily share photos and messages about their child's experiences. We believe in working together with parents on their child's development, with open communication and trust at the center.
