Peutertuin

Welcome to Peutertuin, a small-scale daycare centre located in the heart of Heerlen. We are part of Stichting Peuteropvang Heerlen and provide care for up to 16 toddlers aged 2 to 4 years. Our centre is situated at Van Weerden Poelmanstraat 192, in the same building as primary school Windekind. At Peutertuin, we believe that play is the most powerful form of learning. Our pedagogical professionals create a safe, stimulating environment where toddlers learn new words, counting, playing together, sharing and having fun through play. We work with a clear horizontal group structure, allowing all children in the same developmental stage to play and learn together. Reading is highly valued at our centre. We use our own book series featuring Pim and Poes to familiarize children with language and stories from an early age. These activities provide ideal preparation for primary school. Our opening hours are flexible with half-day options available. We work closely with parents to ensure a smooth transition to primary school.
