Peutersprong 1

Peuterleerplek Peutersprong 1 is located in community centre De Octopus and on the premises of primary school De Voorsprong at Delftselaan 12 in The Hague. We provide pre-school education (VVE) for children aged 2.5 to 4 years in close partnership with De Voorsprong. We follow the ‘Speelplezier’ method and the ‘Piramide’ programme. Each day follows a consistent rhythm: indoor play, outdoor play in our secure garden, shared mealtime, story reading, and circle time focused on Dutch language development and singing songs. Themes mirror those used in De Voorsprong’s kindergarten groups, such as ‘driving, flying, sailing’, ‘mum and dad games’ and ‘bunny Snuf goes to school’. We run two groups: Group A (mornings) and Group B (afternoons), each with 16 children and three permanent pedagogical staff members. Our regular staff are teacher Lize, teacher Wahida, teacher Karima and teacher Halima. Participation is free for children with a VVE referral. At age four, children seamlessly transition to De Voorsprong’s kindergarten groups.
