Peuterspelen De Windroos

Welcome to Peuterspelen De Windroos, located at Galeistraat 2 in the heart of Zaandam. We are part of TintelTuin and provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 in close partnership with primary school De Windroos. Our setting is small-scale and homely; we care for a maximum of 32 children in horizontal groups, giving every child the space to develop at his or her own pace. Pre-school education (VVE) is at the heart of what we do. We use an officially recognised VVE programme that systematically stimulates language, numeracy, social-emotional development and motor skills. Our qualified pedagogical staff work purposefully on skills that prepare toddlers for a smooth transition into Year 1. Through play, children practise language, discover shapes and numbers, and learn to play together and take each other into account. Creative activities such as drawing, crafting and singing are part of the daily routine. We offer quiet corners as well as challenging play areas so that children can choose what they need. Thanks to the direct link with primary school De Windroos, toddlers experience the move from childcare to school as one warm, familiar line. Peuterspelen De Windroos is specifically intended for children with a VVE indication from the Peldersveld and Poelenburg districts. The municipality of Zaanstad subsidises four half-day sessions per week, ensuring every child can benefit from our programme. We operate on half-day sessions only, because we believe young children thrive on a calm, predictable daily rhythm.
