Peuterspeelzaal Ottertjes

Peuterspeelzaal De Ottertjes is located at Kennemerland 15 in Lelystad and is part of Stichting GO! Kinderopvang. We offer small-scale daycare for up to 16 children aged 2 to 4. At our centre, playing together is central. Our professional pedagogical staff encourage children to take on new challenges and take the next step in their development. Children attend two half-days per week. During a morning or afternoon, they take part in various activities, guided or in free play. Our rooms have inviting play corners and we pay great attention to creative development: sticking, cutting, painting, puzzling and modelling. Reading aloud and singing are also part of the programme. Eating and drinking together is an important part of the day. Children learn to sit in a circle and listen to each other – a great preparation for primary school. We provide Early Childhood Education (VE). This programme focuses on developmental stimulation, especially language and social-emotional development, and aligns with the VE offer of primary schools. We regularly organise toddler yoga and work closely with primary school De Triangel, which is located in the same building. Parents stay involved through the Konnect app, which shares photos, reports and news. In short: at De Ottertjes, toddlers play, develop and grow in a safe, small-scale environment, with attention to every child and a smooth transition to primary education.
