Peuterspeelzaal Madelief

Welcome to Peuteropvang Madelief, located in playground de Floragaarde at Van Oosten de Bruijnstraat 62 in the heart of Haarlem. We are a certified preschool facility offering care for children aged 2 to 4 years in a safe, homely and stimulating environment. We work with the Uk&Puk method, a recognized early childhood education program that prepares toddlers for primary school in a playful way. Together with puppet Puk, the children go on adventures in our play area and in our own garden. Our group is small-scale with a maximum of 16 children. Every day, two experienced pedagogical staff members form a close-knit team. Each child has a fixed mentor who is the first point of contact for parents. We work in a horizontal group, meaning children of approximately the same age play and learn together. The space is designed so that children can play freely and also have room for individual guidance at the table. During mornings at Madelief, development is central. We focus on language development, social-emotional growth, motor and sensory development and early math skills. We work thematically and offer activities that connect with the world of experience of toddlers. Outdoor play and discovery are just as important as indoor activities. In our garden, children can romp, explore and burn off energy. Parents stay involved through our parent portal Konnect. Here we share daily photos and messages, so you can follow along in your child's experiences. We value short lines and personal contact. That's why there's time for a chat every morning during drop-off and pick-up. Peuteropvang Madelief is open Monday through Friday from 08:45 to 12:45, including during school holidays. We offer a fixed daily routine that provides peace and regularity, tailored to the rhythm of young children. Food, fruit and drinks are included. Special dietary requirements are gladly discussed with you. We warmly welcome your toddler to our warm and safe environment, where play and learning go hand in hand.
