Peuterspeelzaal Jij en ik

Welcome to Peuterspeelzaal Jij en ik, located in the heart of Munnekezijl at Zijlstraat 2. We provide small-scale, safe and playful toddler care for children aged 2 to 4. In our horizontal group, children of the same age work together on the key developmental steps that prepare them for primary school. Our mornings start at 8:30 with a warm welcome. Children are free to choose where they want to play: the home corner, the construction area or a quiet spot with picture books. Next we form a circle in which we sing, read a story and do a short demonstration game. This stimulates language development and teaches toddlers to listen and wait their turn. Around 9:30 it is time for a healthy fruit break. We cut fresh fruit and vegetables and encourage the children to taste and share. After the snack we go outside; when the weather is nice we romp in our own garden, otherwise we use the gym. Climbing, running, sliding and balancing are central to stimulating gross motor skills. At about 11:00 we drink some water and eat a rice cake or cracker. Meanwhile we take a photo or short message for the parent portal so you can see at home what your child has experienced. At 12:00 we close the morning and each child is picked up. Peuterspeelzaal Jij en ik operates under the Childcare Act and offers a maximum of 16 places. We are registered in the National Childcare Register and are supervised by the GGD. You can choose 2, 3, 4 or 5 half-days per week. For children with an ECE indication we have an adapted offer.
