Welcome to Stichting Kindercentrum Het Kompas, located at Mercatorweg 50A in the heart of Hoek van Holland. We are a daycare centre (KDV) for children from 0 to 4 years old, offering a safe, homely environment where little ones can play, explore and grow. Our premises are centrally positioned near schools and clubs, and everything is provided under one roof: baby and toddler care, pre-school playgroup, and after-school care for when the KDV period ends. We are open 51 weeks a year, from 7.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., giving parents maximum flexibility in booking hours and days. Child development is our top priority. Our permanent, qualified pedagogical staff – all holding a VE certificate, a valid first-aid diploma including resuscitation and AED training, and a company emergency-response certificate – work in fixed teams on fixed days. This means your child sees familiar faces every day and builds strong, trusting relationships. We use horizontal grouping, so children play and learn in age-specific groups: babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers each receive activities tailored to their developmental stage. Our spacious, green outdoor area invites plenty of outdoor play, while indoors we provide a rich learning environment focused on language development, early numeracy, motor skills and social-emotional growth. Children with an Early Childhood Education (VVE) indication receive pre-school education, giving them a solid foundation for primary school. You and your child will love coming to our centre!
