Peuterspeelzaal de Takkenbosse

Peuterspeelzaal de Takkenbosse is located within the Integral Child Center (IKC) De Takkenbosse at Roerdompsingel 6 in Numansdorp. As part of the De Hoeksche School foundation, we provide toddler care for up to 16 children aged 2 to 4 years. Our small-scale setting ensures peace and overview, allowing each child to receive the attention they deserve. We work in a colorful, spacious classroom where children can play and discover to their heart's content. Variety and challenge are central to our program. We offer various development-oriented activities that connect with toddlers' world of experience. Our experienced toddler teachers guide the children in their play and stimulate their development in cognitive, social-emotional and motor areas. The toddler care follows a fixed daily routine that provides safety and security. We start the morning with a group circle, after which children can play in the different corners of our classroom. Think of a construction corner, a home corner and a craft table where we regularly offer creative activities. In between, there is attention for language development through reading, singing and conversations. As part of the IKC, our toddlers use the safe outdoor playground. We believe it's important that children get enough exercise and fresh air. When weather permits, we regularly play outside. Our toddler care works closely with the elementary school and prepares children in a playful way for the elementary school period. We closely follow each child's development and adjust our activities accordingly. Parents are actively involved in their child's development and regularly receive information about progress.
