Basker - de Krömmels

Peuteropvang De Krömmels is located inside the ‘t Warmelinck primary school at Kruisdijk 17 in Aalten. We provide three half-day sessions – ten hours in total – of playful toddler care for children aged 2 to 4. Our setting is small-scale and clear: a maximum of 16 children at a time, ensuring every child receives the attention they deserve. We work in horizontal groups, so all activities match the developmental stage of toddlers. Learning through play is our core principle. We craft, sing, read aloud and spend plenty of time outdoors; the safe school garden is right outside our door. Thanks to our partnership with ‘t Warmelinck we follow the Early Childhood Education (VVE) programme. In a playful way we practise language and speech skills, early numeracy and social abilities. Toddlers learn to share, take turns and solve problems together. Our pedagogical staff closely monitor each child’s development and tailor activities accordingly. During each session we eat and drink together: fresh fruit, a healthy snack and a simple sandwich. We accommodate allergies and dietary needs. Rest moments are scheduled at fixed times; tired children can relax in our quiet corner. The entrance is only accessible with a code, so parents can always drop off and pick up their child safely. In short, at De Krömmels toddlers grow in a familiar environment into shining stars, ready for the next step to primary school.
