Peuterspeelzaal De Brulboei

Peuteropvang De Brulboei is located on the ground floor of community centre De Brulboei at Kanaalstraat 166 in the centre of IJmuiden. We provide toddler care for up to 30 children aged 2 to 4 years. Our setting uses horizontal grouping, bringing children together in age-based groups. We follow the Startblokken pre-school education programme, which taps into toddlers’ natural curiosity: wanting to be “big”, join the world around them and keep discovering new things. Learning through play is at the heart of our approach. We are also an official BoekStart location in partnership with Bibliotheek Velsen. Our cosy reading corner is stocked with books and we regularly host reading activities for toddlers and parents to support language development. De Brulboei works closely with primary school De Klipper and after-school care De Schipper, both located in the same building. Please note: enrolling your child at our toddler care does not automatically secure a place at De Klipper primary school; separate enrolment is required.
