Peuterspeelzaal De Ark

Peuterspeelzaal De Ark has been a trusted Protestant-Christian toddler care facility in Vlaardingen for over 25 years. We provide care for children aged 2 to 4 years in a homely and safe environment where learning through play is central. Our professional pedagogical staff guide children in their development through various activities such as singing, reading aloud, crafts, and playing with sand and water. We work with themed corners where children can discover and learn at their own pace. The Christian character is expressed through children's prayers, simple Bible stories, and singing Christian songs. During Christian holidays, we pay extra attention to this. We offer the VVE program (Pre-school and Early School Education) for toddlers who need extra support in their development, particularly in language, numeracy, and social skills. To participate in this program, a VVE indication from the child health clinic is required. Our toddler care is open 40 weeks per year and closed during all school holidays. We use fixed drop-off and pick-up times to ensure peace and play atmosphere. Communication with parents goes through our digital parent portal where you receive photos and information about your child. Each toddler has their own mentor who tracks development twice a year and shares this with you during parent evenings or through a written report.
