Peuterspeelzaal Bruintje Beer is located at Noord Esweg 26 in Hellendoorn and is part of the Stichting Peuterspeelzalen Gemeente Hellendoorn (SPGH). We provide professional toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 years. Our goal is to give every child the opportunity to develop optimally, ensuring a smooth transition to primary school. We follow a clear pedagogical policy focused on the core functions of play, learning, and social interaction. Through both free and guided activities, we stimulate the broad development of children. We monitor and support development in various areas such as language, motor skills, and social abilities, always in a playful and age-appropriate manner. Our location features spacious indoor and outdoor areas where children can play and explore. We have a garden with play equipment and natural elements, allowing children to learn and move outdoors. The playgroup is small-scale and manageable, creating a familiar and safe environment. We offer pre-school education using the Uk & Puk method. This program playfully stimulates children’s development and prepares them for primary school. We work with themes that match the world of toddlers. Each morning starts with a circle time including singing, reading aloud, and theme-based activities. There is also ample time for free play, crafts, building, and outdoor play. Our staff are well-trained and receive annual professional development. A speech therapist regularly visits to observe language and speech development and to support parents and staff when needed. We work closely with local primary schools to ensure a continuous learning path. When children leave the playgroup, parents receive a transfer form to share with the primary school. We value personal contact with parents. There is room for parent meetings, and we regularly inform parents about their child’s development. Birthdays are celebrated together with a treat and a small gift made by the child. Our opening hours are: Monday and Tuesday from 8:15 AM to 2:30 PM, Wednesday and Friday from 8:15 AM to 12:15 PM. We follow the school holidays of primary schools in the municipality of Hellendoorn.
