Peuterspeelzaal Beertje Bas

Peuteropvang Beertje Bas is part of Les Petits and is located at Voorhelmstraat 25-001 in the heart of Haarlem. We provide care for up to 16 toddlers aged 2 to 4 years. Our horizontal group structure places children in age-based groups, creating a calm and familiar environment. We follow the official early childhood education programme ‘Uk & Puk’. This programme includes ten themes that connect closely with toddlers’ everyday experiences. The puppet Puk is the children’s trusted playmate and guides them through activities focused on language development, social-emotional growth, motor skills and early numeracy. All activities are playful and low-threshold, allowing every child to explore and develop at their own pace. Our setting is small-scale and easy to oversee. The rooms are bright and safely arranged, with corners for role play, building, crafts and reading. We maintain a consistent daily rhythm that alternates free play with group activities. Language receives special attention: we sing songs, tell stories and expand vocabulary through conversations during play. Peuteropvang Beertje Bas offers both half-day and full-day care. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 8.15 a.m. to 12.15 p.m. During the morning the children receive a healthy snack. Parents can schedule a tour to meet our team and experience our atmosphere. We believe it is important that both parents and children feel at home with us from the very first moment.
