Peuterspeelgroep de Horizon

Welcome to Peuterspeelgroep de Horizon, located at Meipoortwal 1 in the centre of Doesburg. We are part of Kinderopvang Spelenderwijs and share a spacious, modern school building with De Horizon primary school. Our playgroup is specially designed for children aged 2 to 4 who love to learn and grow through play in a safe, familiar setting. Playing, learning and living together with joy is what we stand for. Our programme focuses on language development and creative activities such as arts & crafts and story time. Our qualified staff closely follow each child’s development and tailor activities to meet every toddler’s needs. We work with themed activities that align with those of the primary school, ensuring a smooth transition later on. Thanks to our close partnership with De Horizon primary school, toddlers become familiar with the school environment at an early age. We occasionally take them on discovery tours through the building and share the same vision and values. This makes the primary school feel like a natural extension of their familiar place. Parents appreciate the short lines of communication and the personal attention we give to both child and family. Our bright, spacious classrooms offer plenty of room for exploration and play. Children have access to a secure indoor and outdoor area where they can run, climb and explore. Fresh fruit and drinks are always available, and we accommodate allergies or dietary requirements. We work with fixed groups so children experience stability and recognition, and our staff can provide individual attention. Toddlers attend at least two half-day sessions per week from 08:30 to 12:30. Children who need extra support may attend up to four half-day sessions, fully funded by the municipality upon referral from the child health clinic. This ensures every child has the opportunity to develop to their full potential.
