Peuterspeelgroep Boemeltje

Peuterspeelgroep Boemeltje is a small-scale, caring toddler group run by Stichting Scala, located inside primary school De Stelling at Oosterhuisweg 7 in Makkinga. We welcome children aged 2 to 4 on Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., offering a safe and stimulating place where toddlers can play, learn and grow. Our horizontal group is led by two qualified pedagogical staff members – Seia de Vegt, Nynke Bekkema and Angenietje van der Tol – supported by volunteers and trainees. We follow the recognised Piramide programme, focusing on language development, social skills and school readiness. Each day we read stories, sing songs and provide creative activities such as crafts and construction play in our cosy group room. We also use the school’s play hall, making the eventual move to primary school easier. Parents are actively involved through an enthusiastic parent committee that organises celebrations like Sinterklaas, Christmas and the last school day, as well as extra fundraising activities. Together we create a close-knit ‘big family’ where every child feels seen and valued. At Peuterspeelgroep Boemeltje we believe in fun, safety and letting children discover who they are, step by step.
