Welcome to Stichting Peuterspeelboerderij Hummelhoef, located at Hedel 2C in the rural area of Oirschot. Since January 10, 1974, we have been providing a safe and stimulating environment for toddlers aged two to four to play and grow together with peers. Our unique location, surrounded by nature, allows children to explore both indoors and outdoors. At Hummelhoef, everything revolves around learning through play. Our spacious indoor area includes a private sandbox, a playhouse with a slide, and various themed play corners such as a construction corner, doll corner, dress-up area, hairdresser corner, reading nook, and a craft room. Outside, children enjoy a large playground with a sandbox, a playhouse with a slide, and a nest swing. Thanks to our rural setting, children can feed chickens, watch horses graze, rake leaves, and even witness the birth of a calf. Our team consists of four enthusiastic and experienced childcare professionals who provide personal attention to each toddler. We operate in a horizontal group structure, meaning all children are in the same age range. This allows us to fully focus on toddler development without distraction from younger or older children. We do not offer full-day care; instead, we provide sessions of approximately three hours, at least twice a week. This duration is ideal for toddlers to benefit from our targeted developmental stimulation. Peuterspeelboerderij Hummelhoef is not a traditional daycare center but a playgroup emphasizing pedagogical guidance and social development. We prepare children for primary school through circle time, music, crafts, and group play. We believe in a warm atmosphere and open communication with parents so that every child feels safe and secure, enabling optimal development.
