Peuterschool Oranje

Peuterschool Oranje is located on the grounds of the Christian primary school Oranjeschool at Westduinweg 127 in Scheveningen. As an accredited preschool facility of the Foundation for Christian Education in the Haaglanden region (SCOH), we provide professional toddler care for up to 16 children per session aged 2½ to 4 years. We follow the Early Childhood Education programme “KIJK!” and work with clear developmental targets for toddlers. Our two horizontal groups are led by qualified pedagogical staff who cooperate closely with the primary-school teachers, ensuring a smooth transition from preschool to kindergarten. Each morning begins with a circle time where we sing together, share stories and discuss the day. Children can then freely choose from our creative offer: crafting with various materials, building with large and small blocks, moving to music and games that stimulate language and early numeracy—such as counting, understanding concepts like big/small and experiencing “too many” or “too few”. We enjoy a drink together and brush our teeth as a group. Great attention is given to social and communication skills: learning to share, standing up for oneself and being considerate of others. Our goal is for your child to grow in self-confidence through play and make a flying start in primary school.
