Peuterschool De Ark

Peuterschool De Ark is located at Maarsbergenstraat 169C in The Hague’s Leyenburg district and forms an integral part of Kindcentrum De Ark. We provide Christian toddler care for children from 2.5 years old in a safe, homely environment. Our horizontal groups follow an Early Childhood Education (VVE) programme, allowing your toddler to develop the skills needed for a flying start at primary school through play. We open our doors on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 08:15 – 11:45 and from 12:15 – 14:45; on Wednesday mornings only from 08:15 – 11:45. These flexible half-day sessions make it easy for parents to match childcare to their personal schedules. Within our small-scale groups, Christian identity is central: we celebrate Bible stories, sing songs and teach children to interact with one another from a place of respect and love. Our pedagogical staff work closely with the teachers of CBS De Ark. Toddlers and infants regularly share the play-and-learn area, making the step to primary school literally and figuratively smaller. Older children come to read aloud, craft or join in themed activities. In this way, toddlers experience early on what it means to be part of a close-knit school community.
