Peuterschool De Aanwas

Peuterschool De Aanwas is located inside the De Aanwas primary-school building at Dr. W. Dreesstraat 25 in Zuidland. We provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 in a safe, small-scale environment. Our bright and spacious group room is set up with different play corners that match the world of toddlers. The school playground of De Aanwas, enclosed by a lockable high fence, serves as our outdoor area where children can play and explore freely. We operate one base group for a maximum of 16 children per day. The group is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. During school holidays the toddler school is closed. Our permanent team of qualified pedagogical staff offers a varied programme every morning. We sing, do crafts, read aloud and pay a lot of attention to language and cognitive development. For this we use the pre-school programme ‘Startblokken’ provided by the municipality of Nissewaard. Through play, children become acquainted with words, numbers, colours and shapes while practising their social and motor skills. During the morning we create one or two quiet moments when the children sit at the table for a drink and a snack. We work closely with parents and carers and hold regular parent meetings. Our location is part of Stichting Kinderopvang Nissewaard, a professional non-profit childcare organisation that already cares for more than 600 children in Voorne-Putten and Rozenburg. With us, fun comes first and we support a smooth transition to primary school through a high-quality and diverse developmental programme.
