Welcome to toddler care De Zonnestraaltjes, the warm heart for toddlers in Everdingen. We are located on the ground floor of primary school De Regenboog at Graaf Florisstraat 6. Every Wednesday and Friday morning from 08:30 to 12:30 we open our doors for children aged 2 to 4 from the village and surrounding areas. Inside we have created a cozy space with different play corners: a home corner for role play, a craft corner for creativity, a construction corner for building, a car corner for racing and a dress-up corner for transformation. We work with changing themes that connect to the world of toddlers. With each new theme we create a theme corner, so children can discover new things every time. Each child decides for themselves what and with whom they play. There is also a sand table where children can enjoy playing with sand and water and make mud. Outside we play daily on a part of the square, where children can play and hide between the bushes. This way toddlers can discover the world with natural materials! We believe it's important for children to spend lots of time outdoors and connect with nature. We work with themes according to the Pyramid method for preschool education. We alternate between themes such as home, spring, traffic or art. Our activities and excursions are focused on the chosen theme. During circle time we sing songs, read books and eat fruit. For the older toddlers we have special 3+ activities, offering just a bit more challenge and different from the younger toddlers. Through our close collaboration with primary school De Regenboog, the step to school becomes much smaller for our toddlers. We also work together with the library and the consultation bureau. Our experienced pedagogical staff are ready to support your toddler's development and talents in a safe and familiar environment.
