Peuteropvang Wheermolen

Welcome to Peuteropvang Wheermolen, located in the beautiful, brand-new Kindcentrum Wheermolen building at Luitstraat 2 in Purmerend. We provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 in a warm, safe and stimulating environment. Each morning our experienced and enthusiastic pedagogical staff welcome your child and guide them step by step as they discover the world. Our spacious group room offers several play corners tailored to toddlers: a cosy home corner, a creative construction area, a quiet reading nook and an arts-and-crafts table. Children also enjoy our in-house library, a dedicated gym and a lovely discovery garden where they can run, ride and pick flowers to their hearts’ content. The ‘big’ children of Grade 1 are right next door, inspiring the toddlers and giving them a taste of school life. A typical morning starts at 8:30 with a welcome moment for parents to share how their child is doing. After waving goodbye we gather in a circle for a song and a short talk about the day. Around 10:00 we share fruit together, then choose free play or outdoor fun. At 12:00 a healthy lunch is served; children may butter their own sandwiches. We close the morning together at 12:30, and parents receive a detailed report with photos via the Parent App. Peuteropvang Wheermolen follows the principles of early childhood education (VVE), paying extra attention to language development and playfully building skills that will benefit your child at school. We run horizontal groups: children of the same age play together so activities can be perfectly matched to their developmental stage. Our facility is officially registered in the National Childcare Register and has room for up to 16 toddlers. We offer morning care only, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. You can choose one or more mornings per week; the hourly rate is €10.71.
