Welcome to KDV Wâlterswâld De Boarterswrâld, our small-scale daycare centre located at Foarwei 31a in the heart of Wâlterswâld. We are part of Kids First Childcare and lovingly provide care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. Since March 31, 2016, we have been officially registered in the National Childcare Register, allowing parents to apply for childcare allowance. At De Boarterswrâld, we work according to a clear pedagogical policy outlined in our current pedagogical work plan. Our pedagogical staff approach every child equally and give conscious attention to each individual. We ensure all children have a full place in the group and focus on the unique qualities of each child. We recognise and name talents and individuality: "What beautiful red hair you have" or "You draw so nicely". This helps children learn that differences exist and that everyone is equal. Our location features its own outdoor playground with play equipment such as a sandbox, slide and swing set. We share indoor and outdoor spaces with the toddler care, allowing children to grow in a familiar environment. We provide pre-school education (VE) and work with horizontal groups, where children come together in age groups. This promotes tailored development. For the youngest children, we provide bottle feeding and offer quiet sleeping areas. We use a parent app to keep parents informed of their child's development. Our familiar faces ensure continuity and security. We regularly organise outings and excursions and pay great attention to language development and creative activities such as crafts and reading aloud.
