Peuteropvang 't Swarte Meer

Peuteropvang 't Swarte Meer is located at De Blokken 22 in the heart of Zwartemeer and is part of Stichting Kinderopvang Emmen. We provide professional pre-school care for up to 16 toddlers aged 2.5 to 4 years in a safe, homely group. Our aim is to prepare children for primary school through play-based learning and VVE programmes (Pre- and Early-School Education). Everything we do centres on familiar play, discovery and learning. Each morning starts with a shared moment of singing, reading aloud and conversation. Children can then choose from different corners: a reading corner with picture books, a construction area with large blocks, a craft table with paper, paint and natural materials, and a role-play corner where imagination can run free. Our qualified pedagogical staff guide activities individually, so every child can develop at his or her own pace. We work thematically: one week we explore autumn with leaves and acorns, the next we learn about traffic or animals in the meadow. Outdoors we have a spacious, green playground with a sandpit, bikes, swings and a small vegetable garden. Here children can run, climb and play together while experiencing nature. Healthy food matters to us: we serve fresh fruit and a wholemeal sandwich with a choice of toppings. Water or unsweetened tea is always available. Does your child have an allergy or dietary need? No problem – we are happy to adapt our offer to suit. Peuteropvang 't Swarte Meer uses a horizontal group structure: all children in the group are between 2.5 and 4 years old.
