Peuteropvang t Kikkertfiskje

Peuteropvang ’t Kikkertfiskje is a small-scale daycare centre located in the heart of Franeker. We are part of Stichting Kinderopvang Friesland and are situated within Openbare Basisschool De Steven at Noorderbolwerk 1. This allows toddlers to become familiar with the school environment in a playful and secure setting. We provide care for up to 14 children in a single horizontal group for children aged 2 to 4. The group is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 08:30 to 12:00. These fixed, short mornings give young children structure and routine and allow parents to book half-day sessions. Our centre uses a recognised early childhood education programme. Through play we stimulate each child’s language, numeracy, motor and social-emotional development. We work with a structured and coherent programme that connects with the world of toddlers. Our pedagogical staff are trained according to the current Childcare Collective Labour Agreement and receive annual refresher training through a concrete training plan. Safety and trust are paramount. We maintain an up-to-date safety and health policy in which risks are systematically identified and measures are recorded. All staff hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and are registered in the childcare personnel register. At least one adult qualified in paediatric first aid is always present.
