Welcome to Peuteropvang Shri Saraswatie, located in the brand-new Shri Saraswatie Child Centre at Schiedamseweg 282 in vibrant Rotterdam-Delfshaven. Part of Kiddoozz Childcare, we have offered warm, safe and stimulating toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 since 2023. We operate 40 weeks per year on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 08:15 to 12:15. When there is sufficient demand we can also provide afternoon sessions. We follow the recognised Early Childhood Education programme ‘Uk en Puk’. This programme playfully stimulates your child’s language development, social-emotional growth, numeracy (space and geometry) and motor skills. Each school year we work through an average of 10 fixed themes lasting 6 weeks. The materials in the group are adapted to the new theme each time. The classroom is divided into fixed play corners such as a construction corner, home corner and reading corner. Children who need extra support receive individual tutoring in the area where they need additional attention. A typical morning starts with free arrival and play. This is followed by circle time and a first activity with guided play in the corners. Around 09:40 the children enjoy a snack of fruit, raw vegetables and crackers. Afterwards we go outside or take part in a ‘Lekker Fit’ activity in the gym/play hall. After a second activity we close at 12:15 and you can pick up your toddler. Our pedagogical staff create a loving atmosphere every day in which your child can be themselves and make new friends. We believe it is important that children enjoy discovering and learning. Therefore we provide plenty of room for their own initiative and creativity. Every day we craft, puzzle, draw and paint at the table and play fun games. During free play the children choose what they want to do. We work closely with Regenboogschool Shri Saraswatie. When your child reaches school age you can seamlessly transfer to our after-school care on the same site.
