Peuteropvang Pork

Peuteropvang Purk is part of Integral Child Centre SWBS Pork, located at Zanglijster 38 in Ter Apel. We provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 08:30 to 13:50. Because our group is housed inside the primary school building, the children become familiar with the school environment at an early age, making the transition to group 1 smoother and more comfortable. Our regular pedagogical staff members, Joyce Barendregt and Sanne Schregardus, work with the recognised Early Childhood Education programmes Uk&Puk and Startblokken. The activities we offer are both playful and purposeful: we sing together, do arts and crafts, read stories and play games that stimulate language development, numeracy, motor skills, social skills and moral values. Every child is given the space to develop at their own pace within a safe, homely setting. We believe in a healthy lifestyle. Therefore we follow the guidelines of Healthy Childcare: we pay attention to nutrition, exercise and outdoor air. Each morning the toddlers have a calm moment to settle in, followed by a varied programme with fixed rituals. Around 11:30 we eat fruit and have a drink together; afterwards there is time for play or a short outdoor moment. Around 12:30 we sit down quietly to colour or read a book, so that the children can go home relaxed at about 13:30. During school holidays and official public holidays Peuteropvang Purk is closed.
