Peuteropvang Peuterpalet

Welcome to Peuteropvang Peuterpalet, located in the multifunctional Acaciahof centre in Stadskanaal's Hagenbuurt district. We provide professional development-focused toddler care for children aged 2.5 to 4 years in two bright, clear group spaces with an inviting play corridor. Our outdoor play area is equipped with natural play materials that challenge and stimulate toddlers in their development. We operate seven fixed groups per week, each guided by two permanent pedagogical staff members supported by a volunteer or intern. Our approach is based on the Startblokken method with rotating six-week themes that connect to the toddlers' world of experience. A session with us includes free play, circle time, an activity, shared fruit and drinks, outdoor play, and closing circle time. For children with an early childhood education indication, we offer an additional session on Wednesday mornings. In addition to our regular groups, we organise a toddler group every two weeks on Thursday mornings for children aged 1.5 to 2.5 years together with their parents. Every six weeks we host a PlayAtHome meeting where parents receive activities matching the current theme to continue working with their child at home. We believe every child is unique and support each toddler in their own developmental pace.
