Peuteropvang Nansenplaats

Peuteropvang Nansenplaats is part of gro-up childcare and is located in the same building as primary school Fridtjof Nansenschool, right in the Ommoord district. We specialise in toddlers aged 2 to 4 and deliver pre-school education through the Uk & Puk programme. Every six weeks we introduce a new theme – such as seasons, holidays, professions or welcoming a new sibling – and all activities are linked to that theme. We craft with chestnuts, leaves, empty packaging or dry pasta: real-life materials that spark imagination and encourage discovery. Parents receive a ‘home bag’ with materials to continue the fun at home. Each theme period ends with a festive activity to which parents are warmly invited. Our pedagogical staff guide the children as they play and learn from one another. We track every child’s development using the KIJK! system and discuss progress during a ten-minute consultation. Thanks to our close cooperation with the kindergarten classes of Fridtjof Nansenschool, the transition to primary school later on is smooth and familiar. In addition, De Blijde Wei petting zoo and Ommoord playground are within walking distance; once a year we make a joint excursion to one of these beloved local spots. Hand in hand, we walk in a neat line to these familiar places in the neighbourhood. In short, at Peuteropvang Nansenplaats we turn every morning into a celebration. We ensure that toddlers feel safe, at ease and develop positively in a colourful environment full of challenge and joy.
