Peuteropvang Montessori

Welcome to Peuteropvang Montessori, located at A.L. Lesturgeonstraat 3 in Emmen. We provide a warm and safe environment for children aged 2 to 4 years, where they can play, learn and grow at their own pace. Our goal is to optimally prepare children for primary school while nurturing their natural curiosity. Our toddler group follows the Montessori philosophy: a prepared environment where children can work and discover independently. We offer a fixed group so children have the same playmates every day, creating a sense of security and familiarity. We focus on language development, creative expression and social skills. We sing, read stories, do crafts and work with special Montessori materials that stimulate fine motor skills and concentration. Outdoor play is part of our daily routine. We have our own outdoor space where children can run, play and explore nature. We also work thematically: based on a book or object, we discover new topics and activities together. Children bring their own fruit and drinks from home in a special bag; we eat and drink together in a circle. Peuteropvang Montessori is part of the Integral Child Center (IKC) Montessori. We work closely with the primary school and other childcare facilities on site. This continuous line ensures a smooth transition to kindergarten. Our two experienced pedagogical staff members are ready every morning to give your child a pleasant and educational morning.
