Melktanthofje

Melktanthofje is a preschool for children aged 2 to 4, located at Lepelaarstraat 1 in Delft. We are housed within primary school De Waterhof, where we have a spacious, bright classroom with a private entrance and our own outdoor area. Our location accommodates up to 16 children in two fixed groups: the ‘Melktanthofje Group’ for up to 16 children aged 2–4, and a ‘Toddler Group’ for up to 8 children aged 2–5. Each child is assigned to a permanent home group to create a familiar and secure environment. We follow the principles of Early Childhood Education (VVE). Through play, we stimulate children’s development in language, numeracy, motor skills and social-emotional growth. Our activities are designed to prepare children for primary school in a fun way. We offer a structured programme that matches the world of toddlers—such as story time, singing, building, crafts and outdoor play. Every child’s development is closely monitored so that we can tailor our programme to individual needs. Our premises fully meet statutory requirements. The indoor play area for the Melktanthofje Group is 58 m² and the Toddler Group’s area is 72.97 m². The outdoor space is a dedicated section of the adjacent school playground, at least 100 m² in size, which children can use at any time. All areas are safely and appropriately designed for toddlers.
