Peuteropvang Kwetternest

Peuteropvang Kwetternest is a small-scale, homely toddler daycare located at Tuindersweg 52 in Maasdijk, part of Stichting Kwest. We provide care for up to 16 children aged 2 to 4 years. Our team consists of dedicated pedagogical staff members Linda and Réne, who work together with the children in one group. The location is situated within primary school Aventurijn, allowing us to use the gymnasium and ensuring a smooth transition to school. At Kwetternest, learning through play is central. We like to start the day outdoors on the playground, where children can cycle, run, hide, climb and clamber. Afterwards, we engage in activities indoors such as building, cutting, pasting and clay modeling. We sing, dance, read stories and have dress-up parties. Often we do this with the whole group, but sometimes in smaller groups so we can pay extra attention to each child's development. We work with a fixed daily routine and change themes every 6 weeks, such as 'Enjoy your meal!', 'Me and my family' and 'Phew, it's hot!'. We adapt our play materials accordingly. Parents are actively involved in activities so they can practice words and songs at home. Diapers are included in the price and for snacks we provide fruit, cherry tomatoes or other healthy vegetable snacks. We have a nature garden where children can explore and play. Excursions are part of our program, including visits to the library for storytelling. Peuteropvang Kwetternest works with Early Childhood Education (VVE) and has a VE Coach on staff. We closely follow each child's development to ensure they have a positive start in primary education.
