Peuteropvang Kwetternest

Welcome to Peuteropvang Kwetternest, located at Aleoeten 39 in Capelle aan den IJssel. We provide educational childcare for children aged 2 to 4 years. By playing together, children become familiar with the rhythm and structure of primary school. Language development is stimulated, they learn to interact with other children and to take each other into account. This way, children discover that it is fun to do things together! In our toddler school, the child and his play are central. Toddlers develop through play with each other and with various materials. Playing together = learning together. The Uk & Puk programme is actively used across all groups. We believe that focused guidance only starts for children from 2.5 years onwards. Children first need time to get used to a new environment, teachers and the daily routine. The goal of Uk & Puk is to lay a foundation for Dutch language proficiency, so that toddlers can start primary education with reasonable language skills. In addition, Uk & Puk focuses on the development of early numeracy and social-communication skills. These are addressed daily in the morning or afternoon programme. We work in small circles and in the ‘large’ circle the theme is discussed in depth. Our nine part-time pedagogical staff members and manager all hold recognised diplomas and are VVE-certified. They are registered in the National Childcare Personnel Register and have a Certificate of Good Conduct.
