Peuteropvang KwestKoters, Montessori is located right inside Montessorischool Naaldwijk at Schubertstraat 2 in Naaldwijk. We are part of Stichting Kwest and provide both subsidised and regular toddler care for children aged 2 and 3. Our setting is small-scale: we welcome a maximum of 16 toddlers so that every child receives the individual attention they deserve. Our approach is fully inspired by Maria Montessori’s vision. The toddlers can choose from a wide range of authentic Montessori materials, which we combine with the Uk & Puk early-years education programme. “Wonder, discover and experience” and “Help me to do it myself” are at the heart of everything we do. We work closely with the teachers of Montessorischool Naaldwijk: we share knowledge, borrow materials and regularly join school activities. In this way our toddlers already play alongside the kindergarteners and naturally get to know their future teacher. This collaboration makes the transition to group 1 much smoother and more familiar. Our classroom is situated within the school, but we also use the gym and the spacious nature garden. Outdoor play is an important part of our day: together we explore nature, practise gross-motor skills and learn to take each other into account. The garden offers countless opportunities to experiment with water, sand and plants. Indoors everything is ready for creative work with paint, clay and other materials. All activities are age-appropriate and tailored to the developmental stage of 2- and 3-year-olds. KwestKoters has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 January 2020 under number 245455802. Our pedagogical staff are trained according to VVE guidelines and regularly attend further training on Montessori and young children. Location manager Mariette van Nieuwkerk is happy to speak to parents and answer all their questions about childcare, development and the transition to primary school.
