Peuteropvang Klarenbeek en de Vecht, location De Vecht, is located inside primary school Antoniusschool at Kerkstraat 36 in Terwolde. We provide small-scale toddler care for children aged 2 to 4. Every Monday and Thursday morning teachers Astrid and Margot welcome up to 14 toddlers in a familiar, homely environment. Our aim is to prepare children for primary school through play. We follow a steady daily rhythm that gives the toddlers structure. The morning starts with free play and craft activities, during which each child receives individual attention. Together we tidy up, wash hands and enjoy fruit while singing songs and chatting. When the weather is nice we play outside; otherwise we do movement games indoors. We finish with circle time: reading a story, more songs and turn-taking games that stimulate language and social skills. Children learn to count, cut, develop a good pencil grip, wait their turn and participate in circle activities. We regularly celebrate a party and occasionally go on excursions. Close cooperation with the primary school ensures a smooth transition to grade 1. Feel free to visit one morning!
