Peuteropvang IKC de Regenboog is part of the Integral Child Centre De Regenboog located at van Sytzamalaan 3A in Oldebroek. We provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 in a safe, small-scale and language-rich environment. Our group is organised horizontally: toddlers of the same age are together so we can tailor activities to their developmental stage. At our centre play equals learning. We use the recognised Early Childhood Education programme Piramide to stimulate each child’s all-round development, with special attention to language. Our qualified pedagogical staff guide the children through play. The weekly programme includes themed activities such as crafts, dancing, story time and movement lessons. A professional dance teacher also visits once a week to give a toddler dance class in which new vocabulary is woven into the movements. Outdoor play is an integral part of the day: our spacious garden and schoolyard invite exploration and exercise. Healthy habits are important. We offer water and fruit and focus on healthy routines. Parents and staff work closely together; we regularly discuss your child’s progress and organise parent activities. Because we share the building with the primary school, toddlers can already become familiar with the kindergarten group, making the transition to Grade 1 smooth and familiar.
