Peuteropvang Het Windas

Peutergroep het Windas is part of Stichting Peuteropvang Schiedam and is located within the welcoming Het Windas primary school at Nachtegaallaan 2 in Schiedam. We provide childcare for children aged 2.5 to 4 years during 40 school weeks per year. Our preschool group works closely with the school, ensuring a smooth transition to group 1. Our focus is on discovery, play and learning. We offer a rich variety of activities in movement, art, nature and language. Toddlers learn the names and colors of fruits and then get to buy fruit themselves in our vegetable shop. We regularly go on nature discovery trips, searching for insects and plants. We also have toddler gym where children move and play together with friends. We encourage language development through lots of talking and storytelling. Sometimes we join activities with the primary school or visit the after-school care where older siblings are. All our activities are designed to challenge children and prepare them for primary school. We work with the VVE program Startblokken, which gives extra attention to language, math and social skills. Our experienced childcare professionals provide a safe and stimulating environment where each child can develop at their own pace. Peutergroep het Windas is open Monday to Friday in morning and afternoon sessions. We offer flexible childcare, with parents choosing 2 or 3 sessions per week. For children with a VVE indication, 5 sessions are possible. Our location has its own play area and uses the school's playground.
