IKC Braambos (Peuteropvang en KDV)

Welcome to daycare centre Braambos, part of IKC Braambos located at Waddenweg 81 in Hoofddorp. We provide care for babies and toddlers from 0 to 4 years in a homely, safe environment fully tailored to the developmental needs of young children. Our daycare is part of an Integral Child Centre, allowing your child to seamlessly transition to the primary school located on the same premises after the toddler years. Everything we do revolves around rhythm, regularity and rest. We start the day with a free play period from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM, where children can play in the home corner, build with Duplo or race cars on the car mat. For babies, we follow the sleep and feeding rhythm from home so they feel safe and familiar. Older children adapt to the group rhythm. Around 9:30 AM, we sit together for fresh fruit and water or tea. After fruit time, children who still need a morning nap can rest in our quiet sleeping areas. The other children participate in an activity from our development program Piramide, such as sticking wool on sheep or singing the song 'Sheep, sheep, do you have white wool?' during the Spring theme. This program is specially designed to prepare toddlers for primary school through play, with attention to language, movement and social interaction. Every day we go outside. We believe it's important that children get fresh air daily and can move in our safe outdoor space. Around 12:00 PM, a warm, healthy meal is served. After eating, we read a book and it's time for rest or afternoon nap. For children who stay awake, a second Piramide activity is prepared. At the end of the day, children choose what they want to play with. All toys are at eye level, inviting exploration and play. Our pedagogical staff are professional and involved. They see each child as a unique individual and provide a safe, stimulating environment where your child can develop optimally. We work closely with parents and take into account the wishes and needs of each family.
