Peuteropvang Duimelotje

Welcome to Peuteropvang Duimelotje, located at Kleefsehoek 1A in the heart of Ede. We are a small-scale toddler care centre welcoming up to 16 children each day to play, discover and grow. Everything we do is child-centred and inspired by Maria Montessori’s vision, built on five pillars: child-focused, freedom of choice, independence, well-being and developing talents. Our qualified staff guide the toddlers with warmth and attention. Every morning starts with a circle time of singing, dancing and storytelling around a current theme. Afterwards children choose where to play: hammering in the construction corner, concentrating on Montessori games, or sowing and planting in the nature corner. We consciously use natural materials such as wood, wool and cotton to spark imagination and creativity. Outside we have a spacious, secure garden with a play house, sandpit and bikes. Whenever the weather allows we eat breakfast outdoors and use our outdoor kitchen to cook or bake together. We also organise movement activities such as obstacle courses or music and dance sessions. Peuteropvang Duimelotje is VE-certified. We use the Uk & Puk method to stimulate language, motor and social skills in a playful way, providing a solid foundation for the transition to primary school. Because we work on a small scale, we know every child and their parents personally. Personal attention and a familiar environment are our top priorities.
