PSG D'Ondersteen

PSG D’Ondersteen is a small-scale daycare centre located in the heart of Blijham, within the De Wiekslag child centre at Veurste Rou 4. We provide care for up to 16 children aged 2 to 4 years. Our toddler group is housed in a separate wing of the child centre, with its own entrance that opens directly onto a spacious and secure outdoor play area. Here, children can play freely, explore and develop in a familiar environment. Our location follows the principles of early childhood education (VE). This means we work on language, numeracy and social skills through play. We use recognised educational methods and work closely with the primary school located in the same building, ensuring a smooth transition to kindergarten. The group room is warmly decorated with various play areas that invite exploration and discovery. There is a reading corner, construction area, home corner and creative corner where children can craft and experiment. Additional play opportunities have been created in the communal corridor where toddlers and preschoolers can meet and play together. Outside, we have a large and varied outdoor area with play equipment, sandpits and natural elements. Children have plenty of space to move, climb and discover nature. We go outside almost daily, as outdoor play is important for motor development and children's wellbeing. Our pedagogical staff are qualified and experienced with this age group. They provide children with a warm and safe environment in which they can develop. We work with familiar faces and small groups, allowing us to meet the individual needs of each child.
