Peuteropvang De Vuurvlinder is located in the same building as primary school De Klipper, right in the heart of the Berkel en Rodenrijs district. We are part of gro-up, an organisation with more than 40 years of experience in childcare that is committed to a continuous development path for every child from 2 to 13 years of age. At De Vuurvlinder everything revolves around fun and development. A morning or afternoon with us means your toddler gets to play with peers, discover things that cannot be done at home and go on little trips to the playground or the local shop. While your child is having a great time, language, motor and social skills are practised almost unnoticed. Each month we work around a current theme such as seasons, holidays, colours or the arrival of a baby brother or sister. Around this theme we create games, crafts, songs and stories that stimulate language development and social-emotional growth. We use the Early Childhood Education programme Uk & Puk, through which we name concepts, sing and read aloud. Children also learn to make friends, stand up for themselves and express their feelings. Every child develops differently; we track this development with our child monitoring system KIJK! and keep you informed through ten-minute conversations. Our location welcomes a maximum of 16 toddlers and is known for its homely, atmospheric interior. Parents experience our pedagogical staff as patient and caring. We offer both morning and afternoon care so you can stay flexible in your planning. For the transition to group 1 we work closely with the teachers of De Klipper; your child already becomes familiar with the school and we ensure a warm handover of all developmental information.
