SKO PO IKC De Vlinder

Welcome to SKO PO IKC De Vlinder, our daycare centre located in the heart of Wezep-Zuidwest. We are proud to be part of Stichting Kindcentrum Oldebroek and work closely with primary schools De Bron and De Spoorzoeker within one Integral Child Centre. This ensures short communication lines and a smooth transition from childcare to school for both children and parents. We accommodate a maximum of 16 children per day, divided into two horizontal groups. The Red Butterfly is our baby group for children aged 0 to 2 years. The Blue Butterfly is our toddler group for children aged 2 to 4 years. Each group is equipped with age-appropriate materials and toys that match your child's development. Our vision is clear: the child is central. We look at the needs and development of each individual child and tailor our guidance accordingly. We start targeted stimulation and challenges already in the baby group. For toddlers, we work with Early Childhood Education (ECE). Children who need extra support in language or social development receive appropriate guidance. As a green organisation, we consciously choose natural and recyclable materials. The toddler group even maintains its own vegetable garden. Together with the children, we learn that nature needs attention and care to grow. We work with seasonal themes that we link to the children's world of experience. Health is equally important to us. We have a healthy nutrition policy with plenty of fruit and vegetables. Every day we try to play outside for at least half an hour. Our outdoor space offers plenty of opportunities: from bikes and tractors to a sandbox with outdoor kitchen. There is always room for free play, but we also offer guided activities. Our pedagogical staff join in the children's play. We start the day with a personal welcome song, so each child feels seen. Then we work in small groups on activities that fit the theme. We encourage independence by first doing activities together and then letting children try themselves. At SKO PO IKC De Vlinder, we offer your child a safe, loving and challenging environment. We ensure optimal development, from the very youngest to the toddlers who will soon go to school. Together with you as a parent, we look at how we can best support your child in these important first years of life.
