Peuteropvang De Speeltuin

Welcome to Peuteropvang De Speeltuin, a warm and small-scale toddler care centre located inside Kindcentrum De Heijberg at Heijbergstraat 4 in Rotterdam. We offer a safe and familiar place where children aged 2 to 4 discover who they are and what they can do through play. Our toddler care is open Monday to Friday from 08:15 to 12:15. At 08:15 the door of “De Speeltuin” opens and you can bring your child. Through playful, development-oriented activities in small groups every child is seen and followed in their development. Children explore the world playfully; they are allowed a lot and obliged to nothing! Every child is unique and our toys and activities are tailored accordingly. We provide a rich and varied programme in which music, movement, art and language have a fixed place. Children sing, dance, craft and listen to stories. We pay a lot of attention to language and speech development and offer a preschool education programme (VVE) that connects with the world of experience of toddlers. Outdoor play takes place daily in our own, safe playground with sandbox, slide and bicycles. Nature is our biggest teaching material: we feel the wind, smell flowers and watch insects.
