Welcome to daycare centre De Schatgraver, a warm and homely place in the heart of Schaesberg where children aged 0 to 4 quickly feel at home. We are located inside the Healthy Primary School De Schatgraver at Pastoor Schattenstraat 25A in Landgraaf. As part of Flow Childcare, we work closely with the school and other partners in the Community School. This ensures a smooth transition from childcare to education. At De Schatgraver we work with two age groups: a baby group for children aged 0 to 2 and a toddler group for children aged 2 to 4. Our baby specialists follow your child’s natural rhythm and provide plenty of space for sleeping, exploring and cuddling. For the toddlers we use the Early Childhood Education programme ‘Speelplezier’, through which we work on language and speech development in a playful way. Our pedagogical staff align activities and themes with the primary school, making the eventual step much smaller. Healthy nutrition and plenty of exercise are central. We serve seasonal fruit, vegetables and low-fat toppings, and encourage the children daily with simple movement games. This can take place both indoors in our playroom and outdoors in the natural hide-and-seek and discovery playground. The garden has recently been redesigned and offers a safe, challenging environment with a separate section for the very youngest. We use fixed drop-off and pick-up times. In the morning you drop off your child by 09:00 and pick up from 16:00 onwards. These moments allow for personal handovers. Through the Konnect app we also keep you informed about the day’s events, so you know exactly how your child has spent their day.
