PO De Kluis

KDV De Kluis is located right next to Basisschool De Kluis in the centre of Geleen. We are part of Stichting MIK & Spelenderwijs Kindontwikkeling and have been offering professional day-care for babies and toddlers for more than ten years. The centre is set in a charming former parish hall with its own fully-enclosed outdoor playground, packed with challenging equipment where children can safely explore and play. We organise children into two age-specific groups. The calm baby room (0-2 years) is equipped with cots, changing tables and comfortable feeding chairs. The toddler unit (2-4 years) offers a modern space with child-height facilities, creative corners and themed play areas that change regularly. One of our toddler groups also runs a morning-only session, ideal for parents who need part-time care. Every group is led by the same qualified pedagogical staff each day, so your child always sees familiar faces. Play and development go hand in hand. We sing, read stories, craft with natural materials and enjoy movement games in our large gym corner. Toddlers follow the VVE programme ‘Speelplezier’ to support language and social development. A weekly highlight is our walk with the big Kiddy Bus to the nearby Daniken petting farm, where children can stroke animals and experience nature first-hand. Many children who start with us move on seamlessly to Basisschool De Kluis next door after their fourth birthday, making the transition to primary school smooth and stress-free.
