Peuteropvang De Kern is located on the ground floor of CBS De Kern at Dr. B. Brongersstraat 18 in Veendam. We are a dedicated preschool facility for children aged 2 to 4 and work closely with the primary school to ensure a smooth transition into formal education. Our preschool is an adventurous place where your child’s development is encouraged through play. We follow the Uk & Puk Early Childhood Education programme, a recognised method that connects with the world of young children. Each Uk & Puk theme transforms our room into an inviting space filled with activities such as crafts, singing, story time and construction play. These activities are designed to stimulate language development, social-emotional growth, motor skills and early numeracy. We operate small, same-age groups so every child receives the calm attention they deserve. Our permanent, qualified pedagogical staff know each child personally and tailor activities to individual needs. Thanks to regular consultation with the teachers of CBS De Kern, we create a seamless line from preschool to primary school, aligning our approaches and sharing information. Peuteropvang De Kern is open Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 12:30. You can enrol your child from the age of two. Depending on your circumstances, you may be eligible for childcare allowance or a subsidised placement. Our Kindplanning team will be happy to advise you. We warmly invite you to come and see us.
