Peuteropvang 't Leeuwtje

Peuteropvang ’t Leeuwtje is located in the vibrant Staatslieden neighbourhood in Utrecht-Noordoost. We are part of Kind&co ludens, the largest non-profit childcare organisation in the Netherlands. Children aged 2 to 4 join us two or four half-days a week to learn through play. We run a mixed-age group where older and younger toddlers learn and play together. Our site offers a spacious, bright playroom and a natural discovery garden. In the garden children can build sandcastles, explore water and plant vegetables and flowers. We focus strongly on language development through the ‘Uk & Puk’ programme. Each morning starts with a circle time of songs, stories and new vocabulary. Themed activities such as crafts, construction, role play and experimenting with natural materials are offered daily. We value calm and routine. Between activities there is time for a story on the sofa or relaxing in our quiet corner. Children enjoy a healthy snack with fruit and a drink. Children with a pre-school education indication receive extra language support so every child can start primary school with confidence.
