Peuteropvang De Tol

Peuteropvang De Tol is located at Kortland 23 in the heart of Vleuten and is part of OBS Kees Valkenstein. We provide professional toddler care for children aged 2.5 to 4 years in a dedicated, cosy classroom within the school. Our space features different play corners and we have our own small vegetable garden and a sheltered outdoor play area. We also have access to the school’s gym room. We follow the ‘Pedagogisch Hart’ approach and use the recognised Uk & Puk curriculum. Every six weeks a new theme is introduced through which we stimulate language, social-emotional and motor skills. We sing songs, read stories, draw, craft and spend lots of time playing outside. We regularly go on short trips, for example to the library or on seasonal walks. Our toddler care is a VE location: children with a pre-school education indication receive extra Dutch language support. We work closely with primary schools in Vleuten to ensure a smooth transition to group 1. Parents are actively involved: each month we have an ‘open week’ when parents are welcome to stay for half an hour. Photos and activities are shared through the parent portal and we celebrate holidays such as Sinterklaas, Christmas, Eid and the summer party together. Peuteropvang De Tol is closed during school holidays. We offer care Monday to Friday in the mornings; half-day sessions are available.
