Welcome to Peutergroep De Rakkertjes, located in primary school De Luithorst at Gildekamp 6010 in Nijmegen. We are a small-scale toddler group specifically for children aged 2 to 4 years. Our goal is to prepare children for primary school in a playful way within a safe and familiar environment. Each day starts with a consistent daily routine. The children gather in a circle and then choose where they want to play using choice cards. This way they encounter other children while learning to make choices. Our spacious group room is set up with different play areas: a cozy home corner, creative arts and crafts area, challenging construction area, and a sand table for sensory play. We also have our own outdoor playground where we spend lots of time playing outside, running, climbing and discovering. We value shared moments. Therefore, we eat and drink together with all children in the group. This not only stimulates social development but also creates a homely atmosphere where every child feels welcome. As a VVE location (Early Childhood Education), we provide an extra boost to children's development. Our pedagogical staff are specialized in guiding toddlers and use challenging and playful activities that match each child's level and interests. We focus on language, motor skills, social skills and numeracy, always in a playful way appropriate for the children's age. Peutergroep De Rakkertjes is specifically for children aged 2 to 4 years. We provide care on Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 11:45 AM, 40 weeks per year. We are closed during school holidays and on national holidays.
